What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
The focus and goal in mind when joining the Columbus Chamber of Commerce was the ability to meet great new people and ultimately help and assist companies reduce their shipping line items all the while making them more profitable.

How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
I have several methods in which help me stay current with the upcoming trends of the small parcel space. I subscribe to several different parcel forums as well as reading blogs in which my colleagues do research on. When finding a new piece of information, I begin to draft blogs in which are posted on my company’s website.

What is your company culture like?
My company, Reveel, takes great pride in hiring the best people out there. We have a very energetic, hungry, positive environment in which promotes efficiency and efficacy. When hiring new people, we look for people that directly align with our core values.

We have a great time together and we often get together for company retreats and meetups. We strongly believe that having a tight community will ultimately guide us to be better employees, husbands, fathers, etc.

What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
What it takes to be a great employee at our company is the ability to be open and honest with everyone. If you practice those two main values then you will ultimately be successful. All the representatives in our company truly want to help people as much as possible and that ultimately leads to great relationships down the road.

I look at business in a different way than most. I head into meetings with the goal of one day becoming great friends by ultimately becoming an asset to their company. If a company doesn’t feel as though it would be a good fit and vice versa than that’s perfectly acceptable to me.

What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
Columbus is a great place to do business in my space for various reasons. First and foremost, the people in which I get to engage with daily makes the job that much easier. Being born in Ohio, the people don’t get much better. Secondly, being in the logistics space, Columbus’s location in relation to the United States gives companies the ability to ship anywhere in the country with 2-day transit times.

What pieces of advice have you found to be the most helpful since starting your career?
The best piece of advice I’ve gotten while joining Reveel was from a colleague out of California. He stated to me “Anthony, you have the ability to help people constantly and that’s a gift that many people don’t have”. I’ve taken that to heart and have really made it my mission to wake up and provide as much help as possible whether that be business, humanitarian efforts, etc.

How do you achieve a work/life balance?
I have created an “Ideal Calendar” for myself in which has helped me to structure my day and optimize my time. Having set times throughout the day for certain things whether it be working out, reading, etc. has really promoted a strong work/life balance. It took me while to get there but once I put pressure on myself to do those things it became a much easier task.

Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside the office?
My favorite place to have a meeting outside the office is at a nice sit-down restaurant. I feel as though having a good meal with someone and enjoying each others company ultimately leads to a tighter knit relationship down the road.
