ASI specializes in repairs, maintenance, renovations, & new construction of commercial roofs. We provide our services to office buildings, retail projects, warehouses, distribution centers, healthcare & education.
Tell us about your company’s mission and values.
We serve our customers with the most qualified, uncompromising workmanship and service. We work with dedication and integrity, and strive for 100% customer satisfaction. With a foundation of respect and trust, our goal is to build lasting relationships.
What are the services you use the most (or are looking forward to using) from the Columbus Chamber?
All of them! But, if I had to prioritize, helping us to connect to a broader audience in order to grow our great reputation.
How do you stay engaged with trends that you see in your industry?
You can never just rely on one thing or source. This is why we are diligent about having weekly meetings with our manufacturer reps, continual education with our staff on a weekly basis, and we follow social media posts/articles from industry leaders and organizations such as the National Roofing Contractors Association.
What is your company culture like?
We have a small office environment that values face-to-face communication with a large company appeal. Not only do we maintain a professional, organized, and clean workplace, it is a safe area and workplace to work at. For new or potential employees, there is a lot of on-site support.
What does it take to be a successful employee at your company?
Constant communication, grit to maneuver the highs and lows, being open to learning & improving.
What makes Columbus such a great place to do business?
ASI is an employee owned & operated business originated and located in the Columbus Metro area. So, there is a sense of pride when we provide a great service that is contributing to the growth and improvement of the Columbus Metro area. Also, with the continual growth rate of Central Ohio, companies rely on our reputation to complete their projects in a timely manner consistent with our core values.
What pieces of advice have you found to be the most helpful since starting your career?
You should never take your foot off of the pedal. Meaning, don’t stop doing the things that got you to be successful. Next, always continue to learn which will keep you not only relevant, but focused.
How do you achieve a work/life balance?
We all have families, hobbies, and activities outside of the work place. This is why ASI values a flexible work schedule. Also, we measure performance by results and not the amount of hours that one works. Finally, we enforce paid time off to make sure everyone is more productive in every aspect of life.
Where is your favorite place to have a meeting outside the office?
To be honest, any place with great food and excellent service is where you’ll find me meeting with co-workers and customers.
