Over 35 Central Ohio professionals complete Elevate Cbus certification
The Columbus Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize the inaugural graduating class of Elevate Cbus.
“As a leading partner in the Central Ohio business community, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce is committed to elevating our region’s workforce, especially those who will lead our organizations into the future,” said Don DePerro, Columbus Chamber president and CEO. “We are thrilled to announce this graduating class of Elevate Cbus, an initiative that pays homage to our organization’s four pillars of focus.”
Elevate Cbus is a member-exclusive program that was designed to educate individuals on the art of business communication while providing leadership and management tips necessary to elevate themselves throughout their professional career.
Topics that were covered include, but are not limited to, giving and receiving feedback, having a personal brand that aligns with your business brand, building and maintaining relationships, and becoming a connecter and trusted partner in the business community.
Each session features guest speakers who are experts in their respective fields. Past guests have included Urban Meyer and Gene Smith, Ohio State Athletics; Jack Partridge and Darnita Bradley, Columbia Gas; Kevin Myers, Donato’s Pizza; Michelle Brown, CoverMyMeds; Derrick Clay, New Visions Group; Representative Kristin Boggs; and Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague.
The program was facilitated by Andrew Kingery of White Stone Consulting and he will continue to facilitate the next session of Elevate Cbus.
Elevate Cbus is now accepting nominations for its second cohort, which will kick off on August 13 at GBQ. More information regarding the nomination process for Elevate Cbus Cohort 2 is available on the Chamber’s website here.
