Upon successful completion of select certifications with Goodwill Columbus Careers in Technology,
enroll in Franklin University to receive credit and a 50% discount on tuition toward an Associate Degree in Information Technology.

The first step is to determine where you are with your skills. Prior to enrolling in any class or training program, we will gauge your
computer knowledge utilizing the Northstar Digital Literacy assessment in a variety of areas, including:

  • Basic Computer Use
  • Internet
  • Windows
  • Operating System
  • iMac OS
  • Email/Social Media
  • Microsoft Excel/ PowerPoint/Word iInformation

In as little as ten weeks, candidates age 17-29 from Franklin or Madison county can learn entrylevel IT support skills through theĀ  CompTIA A+ course work, can benefit from job-readiness and soft skills training, get job placement assistance and earn A+ certification. Tuition, books, and exam fees are all covered through a U.S. Department of Labor grant, so there is no cost to you to become an IT professional. The course prepares you for jobs like: IT Support Specialist, Help Desk Technician, Technical Support Analyst, Desktop Support Technician and PC and Hardware Repair.
