(October 6, 2020) While most of us have spent the better part of 2020 self-quarantined and socially distanced, Burns & Scalo Ohio has been on the move; seeking out and finding a new headquarters for their operations. This fall, the commercial roofing, solar, and sheet metal company successfully transplanted to Delaware, moving closer to Central Ohio to better serve their customer base.
The move also comes at a special time for Burns & Scalo, who is celebrating their 20 year anniversary in Ohio. The Pittsburgh-based parent company of the same name has been in operation in Western Pennsylvania since 1956. The company expanded west in 2000 when new opportunities arose around the Buckeye State.
“We saw tremendous potential and opportunities all around the state,” says CEO, Jack Scalo “We’ve completed large and difficult jobs from Cleveland to Cincinnati, but Columbus has been our all-star.”
Scalo notes the office move was the vision of Vice President and General Manager, Brian Exline, who pushed for the Delaware location in order to be closer to the state’s capital while enjoying a larger warehouse and office space to allow for growth. Exline started with the company in 2019 and says that the Ohio office is having a tremendous year, despite coronavirus challenges.
“Columbus is experiencing explosive growth,” Exline reasons, “We’ve been very fortunate to be able to work through the pandemic safely. With a new, larger facility, more conveniently located to the Columbus metro area, we’re poised for another tremendous year in 2021.”
The new location is 4,000 sf of office space with a 12,000 sf warehouse located on London Rd in Delaware OH.
