IHS METAL RECYCLING TO HOST FUNDRAISER AND OFFER SPECIAL EARTH DAY PRICING
Columbus, OH: IHS Metal Recycling, also known as I.H. Schlezinger Inc, is raising awareness for Earth Day and the importance of recycling in the community. On Earth Day, April 22nd, the company will give customers the option to donate their proceeds to The Mid-Ohio Food Collective, an organization that provides about 140,000 meals each day to families in need. Customers can also expect special Earth Day prices for their aluminum beverage cans and old appliances at both of IHS Metal Recycling’s Columbus locations from April 19th – April 23rd.
“It means a lot to our customers and to our work to have this meaningful support from IHS Metal Recycling and the community,” said Matt Habash, President & CEO of Mid-Ohio Food Collective. “We are incredibly grateful to have such a leader and partner who is helping us feed hungry neighbors in central and eastern Ohio.”
With two locations on Joyce Avenue and Parsons Avenue, IHS Metal Recycling is proud to be the largest scrap metal processor in Columbus since 1905. The company recycles enough metal each year to construct 25 Eiffel Towers. Since opening, IHS Metal Recycling has weathered many challenges and believes it’s crucial for local businesses to support the community.
“It’s all about giving back to the community in a meaningful and useful way,” said John Miller, Vice President and General Manager, IHS Metal Recycling. “The purpose of Earth Day is to show support for environmental protection and to remind us of recycling’s importance in preserving our planet’s natural resources. Our special pricing is a small way to say thank you to our customers for their continued support over the past 116 years.”
