Exhibitpro, a creative experience company headquartered in New Albany, Ohio, has announced the launch of ‘Keep Your City Smiling’ boxes. Keep Your City Smiling was founded by Sam Eitzen of Snapbar, a photo booth company in Seattle, Washington. These boxes feature curated products from local small businesses and serve as a meaningful alternative to conventional gift giving.
As COVID-19 hit the U.S., thousands of small businesses across the country saw traffic, sales, and revenue dry up, almost overnight, and Exhibitpro was no exception. ‘Keep Your City Smiling’ is the outcome of creative and innovative thinking by companies such as Snapbar that love the live events industry and small businesses. Exhibitpro CEO, Lori Miller, came across Snapbar on LinkedIn and was immediately inspired by Eitzen’s idea.
“I knew I wanted to be a part of this initiative,” says Miller. “Small businesses have a very special place in my heart, and I wanted to bring this movement to the communities in our backyard.”
Exhibitpro has partnered with several Columbus area small businesses to create ‘Keep Columbus Smiling’ boxes. Featured products include unique candles, soaps, coffee, cookies, art, and more.
As the holiday season approaches, Exhibitpro believes the ‘Keep Your City Smiling’ boxes present an opportunity for larger corporations to approach gift-giving with a new, meaningful outlook.
Miller herself has seen her fair share of standard, promotional-item stuffed gift boxes over the years, and knew this small business initiative was different.
