Keybank Promotes Stacy Thompson to West and Midwest Regional Corporate Responsibility Manager

DAYTON, Ohio, Nov. 19, 2020 – KeyBank has announced the promotion of Stacy M. Thompson Speare-Hardy to Senior Vice President, West and Midwest Regional Corporate Responsibility Manager.  In her newly expanded role, Thompson will lead the bank’s focus on local execution of its Community Benefits Plan and CRA obligations and its team of Corporate Responsibility Officers in Key’s Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Alaska KeyBank Markets.  Her promotion is in conjunction with a broader organizational restructuring of the bank’s Corporate Responsibility and Community Relations team announced today. Thompson joined KeyBank in 2006 and most recently served as corporate responsibility officer driving KeyBank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) compliance within its SW and Central Ohio market areas, with managerial responsibility for Indiana and Michigan. She is a member of the local KeyBank leadership teams and works with community organizations to address community need in Key’s service areas through the execution of Key’s $16.5 billion National Community Benefits Plan.  Thompson’s community involvement is extensive and includes serving on the Arcade Innovation Hub (AIH) Board of Directors, Miami Valley Urban League Advisory Board, the Central State University Foundation Board, and as Vice Chair of the Wesley Community Center Board. She also served eight years as a publicly elected member of the Dayton Public School Board (2006-2014) and was recognized as a Dayton Daily News Top Ten Woman in 2011. Thompson is a member of the 2017 Dayton YWCA Women of Influence class, an honor awarded to Dayton’s most outstanding community service-oriented women. She is also a graduate of the 2017 Leadership Dayton class.

Thompson is a graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and the Dayton Chapter of the Links Incorporated.  A native Daytonian, Thompson resides in the Wright Dunbar historical area of Dayton with her husband, the Reverend Dr. Benjamin E.K. Speare-Hardy, Pastor of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Trotwood, Ohio.
