Social distancing brought a new word to everyone’s vernacular and Be Smart, Stand Apart is helping make it happen while making a difference.

Columbus, OH – April 15, 2020 – As part of a global effort to support essential businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, a new non-profit organization named Be Smart, Stand Apart announced that it has produced social distancing collateral with messaging designed to get noticed and help reduce the spread of the virus. The collateral is available through the organization’s website, besmartstandapart.com.

To help essential businesses and community members with social distancing requirements, three Ohio-based business members asked, “what can we do?” and found the answer in just seven days. In the midst of their state’s new regulations, they put together a non-profit, collaborative effort that launched March 30. The non-profit organization was formed by Dan Fronk of Dancor Solutions, Drew Catanzaro of ComDoc and Sean Olis of Xerox. The mission for Be Smart, Stand Apart came to fruition by giving each company’s products a new purpose and goal: supporting the health and safety of their communities during the pandemic while giving back to health care workers on the front lines.

“Being a small business owner for 25 years, you learn to be agile and respond to your clients’ needs,” said Fronk, CEO of Dancor Solutions. “At this moment, our communities are our clients, and we’re doing what we can to help businesses comply with social distancing requirements while supporting those on the front lines.”

The social distancing collateral available at besmartstandapart.com helps essential businesses and visitors regulate the six-feet distance required for proper social distancing, as well as promote other practices that support public safety and health with engaging and memorable graphics.

Be Smart, Stand Apart social distancing collateral includes floor decals, mirror clings, and A-frames signs. Profits as well as collateral from the campaign are being donated to foodbanks and homeless shelters, supporting the United Way of Central Ohio and the 100 Million Mask Challenge, which helps provide caregivers with personal protective equipment (PPE).

To obtain social distancing collateral, besmartstandapart.com offers the following options:

1) Buy a Pack – Ship directly to an essential business of choice

2) Give a Pack – Donated packs will be distributed through multiple channels to essential businesses, starting with those with the greatest need

3) Donate – Your monetary donation will go directly to the 100 Million Mask Challenge.
