Kaiser Consulting is pleased to announce that Lori Kaiser, CPA, CGMA, MBA, founder and CEO of Kaiser Consulting, LLC, has been appointed to serve as the 2021-2022 chair of the Executive Board of The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA). She will be installed for a one-year volunteer term at the OSCPA’s annual meeting on Thursday, August 19, 2021.

“I am honored to serve as chair of the Executive Board of The Ohio Society of CPAs,” said Kaiser. “I value the Board’s role in collaborating with the OSCPA’s multitalented team to advance the accounting profession as a leading solutions-oriented discipline, empower CPAs and accounting professionals as trusted business advisors, and protect the public interest driven by the values of professionalism, integrity, and excellence.”

Delivering knowledge and education to its members while advocating on their behalf, the OSCPA focuses on helping to ensure its members and those they serve have the tools, resources, and information needed to succeed in today’s rapidly changing business and regulatory environments.

“The leaders and staff at the OSCPA dedicate themselves to providing quality education programs, protecting the CPA credential, creating a premier business climate in Ohio, and driving student interest in accounting careers – all the while being focused on making economic opportunities available to everyone,” Kaiser said. “Likewise, the Executive Board includes a vibrant and diverse group of business professionals, relationship builders, and thought leaders who utilize their experience and expertise to promote positive initiatives for the accounting profession and CPAs. I am grateful to serve together with each one of these individuals.”

The swift pace of innovation in the accounting profession energizes Kaiser. As such, she is committed to:

  • finding new pathways to attract diverse talent into the pipeline while helping current professionals, especially women and minorities, grow their capabilities for advancement
  • supporting the CPA Evolution initiative and educating OSCPA members and the business community about the forthcoming implementation of the new CPA licensure model expected in 2024
  • promoting an agile mindset to adapt quickly to changing business and social conditions
  • embracing the infusion of technology as a complement to the emerging role of CPAs as strategic advisory partners

For over three decades, Kaiser has been an active member and volunteer of the OSCPA. She was first elected to the Executive Board in 2017 and served as the board’s chair-elect during the past 12 months. After her role as chair, she will serve a one-year term as past chair. Since 2013, Kaiser has volunteered as a Women’s Initiatives Committee member and currently serves as the committee’s chair. She is a past member of the Finance Committee and frequently participates in OSCPA presentations, interviews, and podcasts.

“As the accounting profession and business community experiences one of the most transformative and exciting periods in history, Lori Kaiser will serve as an equally transformative and passionate leader of The Ohio Society of CPAs in her new role as chair of our Executive Board,” said Scott Wiley, CAE, president and CEO of OSCPA.

“Lori is a leader who inspires other leaders to be bold, to stretch, and to take risks. She’s intentional about helping her team, clients, and the organizations she devotes her time to, and she encourages others to be intentional as well. We are excited for the year ahead and Lori’s leadership.”
