Founded in 1892, Nationwide Children’s Hospital believes that no child
should be refused necessary care and attention for lack of ability to pay.
Upon this fundamental belief, Nationwide Children’s is committed to
providing the highest quality: Patient care; Advocacy for children and
families; Pediatric research; Education of patients, families, and future
providers; and outstanding service to accommodate the needs of patients
and families.
At Nationwide Children’s, we believe in caring for the whole child – that
mental health is just as important as physical health. Sadly, children’s
mental health is one of the most overlooked and underfunded components
of children’s wellness. Research, advocacy, and education are critically
needed.
That’s why we launched On Our Sleeves®, the movement for children’s
mental health, developed by behavioral health experts at Nationwide
Children’s Hospital.
Our mission is to provide every community in America access to FREE
evidence-informed educational resources necessary for breaking child
mental health stigmas and educating families and advocates. No child or
family should struggle alone.
On March 10, 2020, Nationwide Children’s opened the Big Lots Behavioral
Health Pavilion paving the way for an integrated behavioral health
approach for children and adolescents. To further celebrate, the Big Lots
Behavioral Health Pavilion has been named by Columbus CEO as the
Healthcare Trailblazer Organization for the 2021 Healthcare Achievement
Awards.
We are seeking corporate partners who will boldly advocate, educate,
and raise funds for children’s mental health. May is Mental Health
Awareness month and we are asking our partners to support this important
part of Nationwide Children’s Hospital through the On Our Sleeves
movement. We want to partner with you! Will you join us?
