Southwest Airlines adds new daily nonstop service from CMH to Austin
COLUMBUS, OH – Today Southwest Airlines announced plans to add daily flights from John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) to Austin, Texas (AUS) beginning March 10, 2022.
Until recently, Austin was one of the airport’s top unserved markets. Earlier this summer, Southwest announced seasonal flights to the Texas capital for passengers traveling during the winter holidays. Today’s announcement marks the first time that daily service will be offered from Columbus.
“Southwest’s new service to Austin links two cities that have a lot in common—state capitals with thriving economies, growing populations and large universities,” said Joseph R. Nardone, President & CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. “These new flights should be welcome news for business travelers and vacation seekers alike.”
Today’s announcement was part of Southwest’s flight schedule extension through April 24, 2022. To book a nonstop flight with Southwest to Austin, or the other 20 destinations the airline serves from CMH, visit Southwest.com.
