UpRys Launches to Elevate Nonprofits, Small Businesses

Columbus Chamber
The Columbus Chamber provides connections, resources and solutions that help small businesses and Fortune 500 enterprises grow Central Ohio's economy.

August 19, 2021, Columbus, OH—UpRys, a collaborative of business professionals dedicated to elevating nonprofits and small businesses, launches in Columbus, Ohio. UpRys leverages people, process, and technology expertise to create change and empower organizations to focus on their core mission.

UpRys’ business process optimization provides organizations with specialized industry expertise in the fields of finance and accounting, marketing and communications, operations, information technology, workforce management, and leadership. The new brand is formed as a sister organization to PSI (Proteam Solutions Inc.), a nearly 30-year-old technology consulting firm founded by Keith Stevens.

“We know that with our background and experience, we can provide solutions that allow organizations to thrive and focus on what matters most: their mission,” said Stevens, Founder and CEO of UpRys. “With UpRys, organizations will gain access to best-in-breed expertise that won’t break their budgets. We work with organizations to develop a strategy that outlasts economic disruption and delivers solutions that achieve sustainable results.”

Nonprofits and small businesses throughout the country have been struggling with inherited and outdated business models, a trend exposed and exacerbated by COVID-19. As a result, leaders are spending more time on non-core business processes, rather than driving their mission.

In response to the urgent need, and after collaborating with a variety of stakeholders on how best to address the situation, UpRys is launching as a critical resource for bundled, cost-effective process optimization support. Whether it is one department, or the full business model in need of improvement – UpRys provides the strategy and delivers on the solution, so leaders can focus on mission-critical work, resulting in a more cost-effective, efficient organization.

“We ask ourselves daily, ‘Are we making our clients’ lives easier and are we doing it better and more cost-effectively than other solutions?’” said Stevens, who is Chair Emeritus of the Board of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and Immediate Past Chair of nonprofit Alvis. “So far, we’ve found the answer is a resounding yes, and that is what engaged our team, including Anthony McIntosh, President and COO. I pitched him on my vision for our Business Process Outsourcing evolution and it got his attention.

Anthony is a perfect fit to our culture, and is now driving that culture. We are both excited about the potential UpRys has – it’s going to be a nice journey.”

Initial clients of UpRys include: Alvis, Human Services Chamber, Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio, the University of Cincinnati, Central Community House, IMPACT Community Action, Highland Youth Garden, Godman Guild, St. Stephens Community House, Southside Early Learning, Columbus Metropolitan Library, Be Counted On Foundation, In the Number, Hammond Golf Academy, Aryes Staffing, and Akava.
